The death of George Floyd has been greeted with so many attention. First there was a #black lives matter protest from thousands of people, and just recently a Nigerian pastor identified as Pastor Humble Okoro, has organized a burial service for late George Floyd in Mbaise, Imo State.

According to the clergyman, George Floyd’s ancestral root to the humble town of Mbaise in Imo State, and that his native name was identified as “Obinna”.

While carrying out the funeral on Tuesday July 28, Pastor Okoro was quoted to have said;

“I have traced the ancestral root of George Obinna Floyd to Umuoffor kindred in Obokwu obibi Aboh Mbaise Imo State and I feel so happy now that we have reburied him alongside with his ancestors.”

The 46 year old George Floyd was killed earlier this year in May, at Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest after a white cop knelt on his neck. He was originally buried in Houston on 6th June 2020.
